Our garments are designed to last for years with proper care.
Below you will find answers to common questions about craftsmanship, materials, care, ordering, and visiting our workshop.
Who is Pelliarts?
Pelliarts is a Canadian family-operated workshop with over 30 years of experience crafting fur and leather garments. Our work combines traditional techniques with modern design, focusing on durability, comfort, and timeless style.
Why don’t you operate a traditional retail storefront?
Operating directly from our workshop allows us to invest in materials and craftsmanship rather than retail overhead. This approach helps us offer exceptional quality while maintaining long-term value for our clients.
Can I visit in person?
Our showroom operates primarily by appointment to provide a focused and personalized experience. Please contact us to arrange a visit.
How should fur be stored?
Store fur in a cool, well-ventilated space using a breathable garment bag. Avoid plastic coverings, which trap moisture and can damage natural fibers.
Can fur get wet?
Light exposure to snow or rain is generally acceptable. Shake gently and allow the garment to air dry naturally at room temperature. Never apply direct heat.
What damages fur?
Avoid prolonged exposure to heat sources, direct sunlight, humidity, or compressed storage. Radiators, car heaters, and warm closets can dry the leather backing and shorten lifespan.
How should leather be stored?
Hang leather garments on wide hangers in a cool, dry environment. Allow space for airflow and avoid tightly packed closets.
Can leather get wet?
If leather becomes wet, blot gently and allow it to air dry naturally. Do not use heaters or hair dryers, as rapid drying may cause stiffness or cracking.
What damages leather?
Excessive sunlight, moisture buildup, plastic storage bags, and high heat can weaken leather fibers over time.
What payment methods do you accept?
We accept major credit cards as well as digital wallets such as Apple Pay and Google Pay where available.
Are your products handmade?
Many of our pieces involve significant handwork and careful inspection throughout production to ensure quality and longevity.
Do you ship internationally?
Yes. Shipping availability varies by destination. Please refer to our Shipping page for additional information.
Can I return or exchange an item?
Due to the nature of handcrafted garments, return and exchange requests are assessed individually. Please contact us if you require assistance.
Do you offer repairs or maintenance?
We encourage clients to contact us regarding maintenance or repair inquiries. Many garments can be refreshed or serviced to extend their lifespan.
