A refined take on the classic aviator trapper hat, this cold-weather style combines natural beaver fur with supple lamb leather for warmth, durability, and a clean structured appearance.

Dense beaver fur provides plush insulation around the head and ear flaps, while the leather construction gives the hat shape and contrast. The ear flaps can be worn down for additional protection in colder conditions or secured using the leather tie strings for a more open fit.

The interior is finished with Thinsulate insulation for added warmth without excessive bulk, making the hat well suited for everyday winter wear and colder temperatures.

Care

This piece is made from genuine beaver fur and lamb leather and should be handled with care. Do not wash, machine wash, or tumble dry. For cleaning, take to a professional fur and leather specialist experienced with natural materials.

Avoid heavy rain, prolonged moisture, direct heat, humidity, and extended exposure to sunlight. If the hat becomes lightly damp, gently shake off excess moisture and allow it to air dry naturally at room temperature, away from heaters or direct sun.

Store in a cool, dry, well-ventilated place. Avoid compressing the hat for extended periods, as this may flatten the fur or affect its shape. Lightly shake or gently brush the fur as needed to refresh its natural appearance.

Keep the leather away from prolonged moisture and avoid applying household cleaners, oils, or conditioners unless specifically recommended for the leather.

Crafted from natural beaver fur and genuine lamb leather, each hat may show slight variations in fur density, tone, texture, and leather grain. These variations are natural characteristics of the materials and make each piece subtly unique.

This guide provides general sizing guidance for Pelliarts trapper hats. Fit may vary slightly depending on the style, structure, lining, and the natural characteristics of the materials used.

How to measure: Wrap a soft measuring tape around the widest part of your head, just above the eyebrows and ears. Keep the tape level and comfortably snug, without pulling it tight.

Fit & natural variation: Our trapper hats are made with natural materials, so slight variations in thickness, loft, lining, and overall fit are normal. A small amount of ease is desirable for comfortable winter wear — the hat should feel secure without excessive pressure around the head.
