A timeless cold-weather essential, this classic aviator trapper hat is crafted with full muskrat fur throughout the exterior for exceptional warmth, softness, and natural character. Made using full skins rather than assembled fur pieces, it offers a fuller, more refined appearance and a higher-quality finish.

The ear flaps are fully furred on both the inside and outside, providing generous insulation and a plush feel when worn down. Lamb leather tie strings at the base of the flaps allow the hat to be secured under the chin or styled open depending on the weather and preference.

The interior is lined with Thinsulate for added warmth without unnecessary bulk, making this hat especially well suited for very cold winter conditions.

Care

This piece is made from genuine muskrat fur and should be handled with care. Do not wash, machine wash, or tumble dry. For cleaning, take to a professional fur specialist or cleaner experienced with natural fur.

Avoid heavy rain, prolonged moisture, direct heat, humidity, and extended exposure to sunlight. If the hat becomes lightly damp, gently shake off excess moisture and allow it to air dry naturally at room temperature, away from heaters or direct sun.

Store in a cool, dry, well-ventilated place. Do not compress for long periods, as this may flatten the fur. For regular wear, lightly shake the hat to refresh the fur and allow it to breathe between uses. Keep leather ties away from prolonged moisture and avoid pulling or twisting them excessively.
